America's first lady of romance joins the top designers at White Gallery

The much-heralded White Gallery show, which promises to bring together some of the best names in the business, continues to announce new exhibitors

Claire Pettibone, a self-described “true romantic”, uses the finest European textiles and couture laces for the superb vintage-inspired sensations that are her trademark, and have made her one of the top couture bridal gown designers in the world today. Crafted in her Los Angeles atelier, her sensational designs have been hailed by the press and have engendered a cult following from around the world.
Claire’s newest collection, ‘Cherry Blossom 2010,’ will be on show at London’s White Gallery, 23-25 May, alongside the collections from some of the most prestigious names in international bridal. Cherry Blossom exudes a mystical effervescence.  With the exalted Japanese blossom as muse, silhouettes are soft and flowing and feature elaborate embroideries, tactile embellishments, and subtle shimmering details reminiscent of flowering branches and floating petals. “I enjoyed exploring the rich history and symbolism of these cultures for this collection,” the designer said. “As always, I wanted to conceive a timeless expression of beauty for the bride.”
