Everybody loves a wedding
It’s not just retailers who pitch up at Harrogate for BBEH. Celebs and local dignitaries are always keen to join the crowds
White dresses, champagne and love songs – it’s an irresistible combination that spells dreams-come-true for those involved and serious business for the companies supplying the big-day ingredients. Even in these financially-pressured times, brides continue to spend big money on their dream dress which is why, when Europe’s biggest bridalfest comes to Harrogate twice a year, it attracts retailers from all over the world who are keen to be seen with the right designer labels on their order books.

The British Bridal Exhibition in Harrogate will see thousands of visitors walking down the aisles, 14-16 March, at this huge event where some 250 collections will be on show. And joining them will be Harrogate’s Mayor, Pat Jones, who has a real appreciation of today’s design talents. The Mayor, in office for nearly a year now, got married in the swinging Sixties, and wore short with all the trimmings (a fashion-first right now). “The sheer choice today is stunning,” she said, “brides can find the dress of their dreams – probably several – without difficulty.”
Also visiting the show will be the very glamorous Miss UK, who will be on the Eternity Bride stand in Hall C.
Retailers who pre-register online will get:
- free entry to the three business seminars
- free entry into the prize draw to win a goody bag (worth over £1,200)
- a free show guide (worth its weight in gold)
- their badge in advance to beat the queues
