International success for the new season
As well as retailers from 28 different countries, this year’s White Gallery London saw a host of international labels bringing showstopping designs to the city
White Gallery hosts the biggest names in bridal and this year saw huge successes from international designers. Dedicated International Preview catwalk saw unique and innovative styles from across the globe, and stands buzzed with activity. Designers dazzled and impressed with their creative, high quality pieces and the looks on offer lived up to the high ideals set by the luxury show.
White Gallery is valued as the most prestigious event in the industry, and so many international brands flourished this year including Anne Barge, Anna Georgina, Jesus Peiro, Reimbo Styling, Atelia Emilia, Paloma Blanca and Karen Willis Holmes.
Speaking of their success, Karen Willis Holmes said: “As an Australian based business, we have been working on building the brand internationally in the US and UK markets for the past couple of years. White Gallery London is an important aspect of this as it allows us to meet with retailers and press. The 2016 show is the third time we have shown at the event and this year was our best show to date. We had a great response leading up to it and were extremely busy during the three days. We were able to secure new stockists as well as attain reorders, which for us is a brilliant result.”
Similarly Kobus Dippenaar of Anna Georgina, said: “At many trade shows it’s easy to feel pressure to ‘hawk your goods’ to everyone passing by. At White Gallery however, I didn’t feel any of that pressure. My stand had ample space which allowed my gowns to be well displayed so they could speak for themselves. And it quickly became apparent that stores attending White Gallery are more discerning - the buyers have done their homework and they know what they want. I had eight new stockists place orders from all over Europe, as well as the United States, and White Gallery has certainly played an instrumental role in this”
