White Gallery London success stories

After three days of non-stop fashion and the very best in bridal, the doors at London’s Battersea Evolution have closed, marking the end of another brilliant, designer-only event

The show began on Sunday with an influx of buyers looking to scope the newest trends, and stands were occupied until Tuesday with visitors keen to score their final pieces for the year ahead.

This year saw a dazzling mix of bridal delights; from dramatic, show-stopping gowns to simple modern styles, boho pieces and trendy detailing. Highlights included gowns that play with texture and beautiful fabric mixes, as well as fashion-forward exposed shoulders and intricate neck and back detailing. Traditional designs have been reinvented for the new year and these new season collections will certainly offer brides their perfect, unique look.

Separates are still a leading story and designers continue to present the beautifully lightweight and flowing pieces that so many modern women love. The designers have also been heavily influenced by nature this season with gorgeous floral appliqué and stunning accessories with asymmetric vines, pearl buds and delicate leaves.

As well as beautiful stands filled with bridal gems, buyers also had the chance to see stunning catwalk presentations from Alan Hannah, Savin London and Sassi Holford plus gorgeous designs in the International Preview and British Talents shows.

The event also saw Wendy Rivera take to the stage to present her seminar ‘Do You Speak Bride?’. The internationally-renowned bridal coach and speaker captivated visitors with her entertaining and informative presentation on ‘the language of bride’ and offered great advice for taking businesses to new heights.

This year’s show saw retailers from around the world travel to London to see the latest top offerings, and designers and retailers haven’t been disappointed.

Alan Hannah: “We had a fantastic show, seeing all of our stockists and adding several new accounts. Our catwalk was the highlight for us and at White Gallery we have incredible press coverage.”

Andrea Cutts | Eliza Jane Howell: “We had another good show and the reaction to our dresses on the catwalk was amazing. We even heard some cheering!”

Kobus Dippenaar | Anna Georgina: “The show was spectacular - being part of the Ocean Media Group family it was success from moment go. The quality of the show is amazing!”

Wendy Flynn | Florence: “White Gallery London has been absolutely great. The buyers are not here to waste time but you can discuss orders in a relaxed environment. We have placed many orders and are very happy with the overall outcome. It’s a great platform to launch a new business or collection as buyers are here to seek new trends and innovation to bring to their boutiques.”

Diane Hassall: “This is our very first time attending White Gallery London and it has been an absolutely fantastic experience; there are serious buyers who are willing to place new orders and not just waste time. It is a perfect environment for chatting to buyers; overall it is brilliantly organised from the setting to the relaxed atmosphere. I will be returning for certain.”

Becky Pincott | Lace & Grace, Bristol: “I love coming here to place orders with existing suppliers but also to find new designers and establish connections. My main aim is to learn the new trends so I can be ahead of the game in my boutique and I find White Gallery helps me with future decisions on what to purchase and why. I would definitely recommend attending the show to anyone in the bridal business.”

Katrin Lauredsen | Bride Fashion, Demark: “It’s a beautiful fair, a little smaller than I expected, but the atmosphere is relaxed and enjoyable. I had a successful show, I placed orders and made connections.”
