American bridal designer Anne Barge hosted a cocktail reception at Kleinfeld to toast the new Anne Barge Curve Couture campaign, a size-inclusive trunk show the brand announced last December
Anne Barge Curve Couture is a new rotating trunk show featuring gowns in U.S. sample sizes 16-20, offering a radical change from the existing size 4-8 samples in stores and on trunk shows now.
According to company president Shawne Jacobs, this new endeavor is a response to demand from retailers across the U.S. with clientele seeking high-end bridal couture in sizes 16-20. The trunk show consists of 15 best-selling styles from past and current collections with gowns retailing between $2,000 and $7,000.
In a statement from retail owner Mara Urshel, “For years, Kleinfeld has fearlessly committed to expanding our offerings in the plus-size category. We are thrilled to be congratulating Anne Barge and Shawne Jacobs in this exciting time of brand growth”.
Special guests included body-positive style expert Alex Michael May, Kleinfeld owner Mara Urshel, and designer Anne Barge. Attendees enjoyed wine by Amado Sur and catering by Sweet Bay Treats.
